Wholey Water is sourced at Joywood Farm, located at c/o Sani and Pevensey Road, Himeville, in KwaZulu-Natal. The farm sits at the foot of the Southern Drakensberg — one of South Africa's most iconic and pristine mountain ranges, and a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
The water is drawn from approximately 100 metres below the surface — a protected underground aquifer that has been naturally filtered over thousands of years through the ancient rock formations of the Drakensberg.
Yes. Wholey Water has a typical measured pH of 9.5–9.7. This alkalinity is naturally occurring — the result of the water's prolonged contact with mineral-bearing rock during its filtration journey through the Drakensberg.
Wholey Water does not use electrolysis or chemical additives to achieve its pH. The alkalinity is a property of the source water, not a manufacturing process.
Wholey Water contains naturally occurring calcium, magnesium and potassium, absorbed during filtration through the Drakensberg rock formations. These are the same minerals found in many internationally recognised spring waters.
Exact mineral concentrations should be verified against the current accredited laboratory analysis. All claims on our website and packaging remain aligned with certified testing results and applicable South African regulatory requirements.
Purified water — including reverse osmosis and municipal water — is treated to remove dissolved solids. What you get is water that has been stripped of most minerals and sits close to neutral pH (typically 6.5–7.5). Some purified waters then have minerals added back in.
Wholey Water is not purified. It is spring water drawn directly from an underground aquifer. The minerals and the alkalinity are naturally occurring — not removed and replaced. The water has not been treated with reverse osmosis or passed through municipal treatment infrastructure.
This is the fundamental difference, and it is why the source location and geological provenance matter commercially.
All pH, mineral and source claims are aligned with accredited laboratory testing results. Our source page will serve as the permanent home for current laboratory analysis, testing dates and certifications as the brand develops.

Wholey Water is available in four formats:
- 350ml — individual, on-the-go, hotel rooms, events
- 750ml — restaurant tables, offices, boardrooms
- 5 Litre — home, office kitchens, commercial back-of-house
- Large format — high-volume commercial and trade supply

Our current primary supply area is KwaZulu-Natal, with distribution capability expanding as our distribution partner network grows. Contact us directly to discuss delivery to your area — we will be honest about what is currently feasible and at what cost.

Minimum order quantities vary by format and delivery location. For most commercial accounts, we work in case quantities. Contact us with your specific requirement — format, volume and delivery location — and we will advise on whether we can accommodate it and at what pricing.
Yes. We offer territory-based distribution partnerships across South Africa. Ideal partners have an existing distribution operation, relationships in hospitality or retail, and the commitment to build a meaningful route.
Yes — hospitality is one of our core markets. We supply hotels, lodges, boutique guesthouses, restaurants, spa facilities and event venues. We offer recurring case supply, multiple formats, and the brand narrative that gives your floor team something genuine to tell guests.
Yes, for qualifying projects. Private label is available for hotels, events, corporate gifting and retailers with sufficient volume. Minimum volumes and lead times apply — these are discussed project by project.
